The Mason Enterprise Services Architecture (MESA) is the university’s information technology infrastructure that provides file services and storage, desktop management, and enhanced desktop security. ITS allocates 10GB of networked file storage space to each Mason student, faculty, and staff member to store and share files.
Access is limited to George Mason University students and employees and cannot be accessed from off-campus locations without a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection.

Getting This Service
Your MESA account is created automatically (within three working days of an employee being hired or a student enrolling at the university.)
You will need your Mason NetID and Patriot Pass Password to access your MESA M:\ drive.
This service is available 24/7, excluding planned outages, normal maintenance windows, and unavoidable events. Maintenance windows are Sundays from 7 to 11 a.m. but may be extended to 2 p.m., if needed. If maintenance is required outside of these hours, it will be announced on the Alerts & Bulletins page.
