LISTSERV services have been enabled and all university listservs are back online. As a precaution, old undelivered mail messages in the queue since 11/4/2023 have been removed and will need to be resent.

Initial Alert:

George Mason University is working to determine how recipients of a university-wide message from the President were able to post responses using institutional listservs. Individual replies were sent to all recipients, including all students, faculty, and staff. These messages should not have been distributed.

The Office of Information Technology Services has temporarily disabled all university listservs and is reviewing information security systems and email protocols to ensure there will not be a recurrence.

As we learn more, we will update the community through appropriate communication channels.
