Information Technology Services (ITS) is retiring the Windows Virtual Desktop service on Friday, October 1, to help provide a more streamlined set of services at Mason.
If you have a Windows Virtual Desktop account, ITS encourages users to take the following steps in anticipation of its removal:
- If you are a student or need software for classroom use, begin using the Citrix Virtual Lab for remote access to academic software. No additional registration is required to use the service.
- If you are a faculty or staff member, begin using the Patriot Virtual Computing service to access a secure remote Windows desktop environment. Registration with your department is required to use the service.
