Service Summary
ITS can facilitate the acquisition and operation of dedicated network infrastructure components for research and other projects that require special network service. Examples of special network services include dedicated ethernet switches and attachment to national research and education networks.
This service is limited to Mason faculty, staff, and graduate research assistants.
Getting This Service
To request special network services, you will need to Request Special Network Services. Depending on the type of service requested, there may be additional costs. These costs may include but are not limited to acquisition, installation, and maintenance charges for new network equipment, links, and electrical work.
Availability
This service is available 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Policy
All users of the George Mason University network must adhere to University Policy Number 1301: Responsible Use of Computing.
