Microsoft Teams for Course Collaboration

Overview for Instructors

While there is no roster or Blackboard integration at this time, you can still expand your classroom with Microsoft Teams. Create Teams with channels to facilitate discussions and document collaborations. Use private channels to create group spaces for collaboration.

Getting Started

Log into Office 365 at office.com using your Mason credentials. Open the waffle menu in the top left to see apps available to you. You may need to click All Apps at the bottom. If Teams is not available to you, submit a support ticket to request it. For more options, install the Teams desktop application.

Create a Team for your course by clicking Join or create a team on your Teams tab. In the settings for your Teams site, select Team code to generate a code that can be shared with others to join.
