Issues with Microsoft Office 365 Search Functionality

Resolved Alert:

Microsoft reported that the remaining issue with a small number of requests only receiving partial results when running search queries was resolved.

Impacted services included, but were not limited to:

– Microsoft Teams
– SharePoint Online
– Outlook desktop client
– Outlook on the Web

This issue may have impacted both the Microsoft Office 365 and MasonLive systems.

Alert Updates:

Microsoft has stated that the original issue with accessing the search function has been resolved. However, they are reporting that as a residual impact, a small number of users may only receive partial results when running search queries. They believe the issue with returning partial results is a rare occurrence and are working on a fix for it.

Impacted services include, but are not limited to:

– Microsoft Teams
– SharePoint Online
– Outlook desktop client
– Outlook on the Web

This issue may impact both the Microsoft Office 365 and MasonLive systems.

We will provide additional information as it becomes available.

At this time, Microsoft believes the issue with using the search function has been resolved for most users. However, they are reporting that some users may still experience the issue but at a much reduced severity and occurrence rate. For those users, some searches may only return partial results and retrying the search should correct the issue. They have identified a fix for those users still experiencing problems with performing searches and are working towards a deployment of that fix.

This issue may impact both the Microsoft Office 365 and MasonLive systems.

We will provide additional information as it becomes available.

Microsoft is continuing to work on correcting an issue with using the search functionality in multiple Microsoft Office 365 services and is deploying fixes for this issue. Some users may experience latency when performing searches, while the fix deployment is in progress.

– Outlook desktop client
– Outlook on the Web
