Data Center Switch Maintenance

Impact of the change on users:

The following services will experience two intermittent outages lasting a few minutes during a 90-minute window. During the maintenance window, no new sessions can be started, but, existing sessions will not drop. Existing sessions for W-Ffi can be affected when users are roaming from one area to another.

  • Patriot Virtual Computing
  • Virtual Private Network
  • Wi-Fi
The IronPort Quarantine and smtp01 outbound relay service will be unavailable during the maintenance. You will not be able to access the IronPort Quarantine to add or remove entries from safelist/blocklist or release messages from quarantine. Users of the smtp01 outbound relay will have their emails delivered after the maintenance is complete.

Servers on rows 2 and 8 in the Data Center will experience two intermittent outages lasting a few minutes during a 30-minute window. ITS has informed server owners.

Reason for the change:

ITS is converting network switches. (ID # 264878, 264882)
