Brief Campuswide Network Outages
EXTENDED MAINTENANCE
Impact of the change on users:
All Mason Wi-Fi and wired networks, Mason online services, applications, and websites, will be intermittently unavailable during the maintenance period. Network outages are expected to last less than 5 minutes each; however, some services may take longer to come back online.
IMPORTANT:
Ongoing sessions of Mason services, applications, and websites will drop as a result of network outages.
Impact on Residence Hall students:
Users on ResNet, Mason’s residence hall network, may be unable to reach Mason services, applications, and websites, including the services listed below; however, ResNet will not be impacted by this maintenance.
- eduroam (the preferred network for academic and administrative use)
- Collab, which is used to stream video or music or pictures via wireless from student laptops to the Solstice Pod
- Door locks will work, but account updates will not be available until after the maintenance period
ITS staff will restore service as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience.
