ITS staff reported of issues with logging in and graphics not showing in reports.
The ITS Ticketing System, TeamDynamix, was available, but not fully functional. Users experienced intermittent issues logging in. Once logged in, the system was slow to respond and reports were not showing properly. Errors were received stating the system could not be reached when trying to create a ticket, but upon review the ticket was created.
The hosting company for TeamDynamix experienced issues with their virtual machines in the Eastern US. Microsoft Azure determined that, following a routine maintenance, a storage scale unit became unavailable for a brief period of time. This caused some resources to become unavailable and / or experience unexpected restarts.
The hosting company stopped the maintenance task and restored power to the impacted scale unit, mitigating the issue.
The hosting company will continue to investigate to establish the full root cause and prevent future occurrences.
