Wired and wireless network outage

Initial symptoms: 

A brief network outage occurred on the Comcast Internet Provider’s side near the Science and Tech Campus. After Comcast resolved the issue, the modem in the Smart Lab could not be reached. Therefore, a network engineer was dispatched to perform a hard reboot on the modem. As a result, the services were restored.
