Changes to Login for Mason Applications

Impact of the change on users:

During the maintenance period, users may experience errors when logging into applications. These errors will be brief and last no more than 60 seconds. Once authentication services are moved to the cloud, customers enrolled in 2FA may see the new login page and be prompted to use 2FA with CAS and Shibboleth applications. Customers who are NOT enrolled in 2FA will see the new login page for CAS and Shibboleth applications but will not be prompted or required to use 2FA.

Reason for the change:

ITS is moving CAS and Shibboleth to the cloud. This move standardizes the login pages for CAS and Shibboleth applications and add 2FA to Shibboleth applications (2FA was added to CAS applications in 2018). (ID#  190046)
