Microsoft is reporting that this issue is now considered resolved. They have completed an extended monitoring period of their environment and they are not seeing any further interruptions of Microsoft Office 365 services related to this issue. While this issue is now considered resolved, they will continue to finalize any remaining mitigation efforts.

– Users may have trouble loading people profile cards

Microsoft is reporting that as a result of their earlier mitigations, their environment appears to be maintaining a stable, healthy state. They continue to actively monitor services to ensure they remain stable, while also working on implementing additional preemptive mitigation plans. While access to services should be improved, this issue is still considered ongoing.

During this issue, users have reported a mix of experiences such as, Outlook on the web (OWA) sporadically loading as normal, or getting an error page, or very slow load times. Some have reported issues accessing, reading, or sending/replying to emails once in OWA.

Microsoft is reporting that they believe they have found the cause of the issue and have reverted a change that occurred prior to services being impacted.

That update is being processed through their systems now, and they are seeing improvement in the availability of services.
