How to Share Poll Everywhere Activities

This page outlines how to share activities with other presenters. For collecting responses to activities, see the main article for Poll Everywhere.

Sharing with Poll Everywhere Teams

Shared Activities is centered around Poll Everywhere Teams. You share activities with Teams, and the presenters in that Team will be able to present the activities independently. Only the activity owner can edit it. Presenters can see activities shared with their team on the Shared With Me page. Presenters may be in any number of Teams at once. Presenters may see, present, and run reports on activities that have been shared with their team.

To request a Poll Everywhere Team, submit the Poll Everywhere Request Form.

To share activities once your team has been created, first put the activities in a folder. You must do this even if you want to share a single activity. Then, follow the instructions at Sharing an activity.

Shared activities allow team members to run reports on multiple presenters. More information can be found at Reporting.

Each team will have at least one Team Manager. The team manager can add and remove team members as needed. To manage your team, follow the Adding presenters to a Team instructions at Teams and Shared Activities.

This is the only sharing method that retains a single copy of the activity for shared responses and reporting. If this feature isn’t needed, consider one of the other methods below.

Send Copies to Presenters

To send a copy of activities without responses, you can Send copy. Copies can be sent to any other Mason presenter account. If the other person does not have a licensed presenter account, use the Copying a Single Activity method below.

Follow the “Send copies of activities to another presenter” instructions at Move or copy activities between users.

Copying a Single Activity

If copying to or from a non-Mason account, use this method. The system allows presenters to share an activity by copying the activity’s configuration page URL and sharing that copied URL. An activity shared this way will not include any existing responses. The recipient receives a clean copy they can use as they see fit.

Follow the instructions for Copying activities using the URL.

Share an Import File used to Create Activities

If you have a large batch of questions, you can import these using a CSV file to quickly create activities. Share the CSV through any file sharing method to allow multiple people to create the same batch of questions. Using this method will create copies of activities in each presenter's account. Only the following question types are supported:

  • Multiple choice
  • Open-ended
  • Rank order
  • Q&A
  • Word cloud

Follow the instructions at Import questions.
