Note:
Class Collaborate (formerly Blackboard Collaborate Ultra) is being retired and will no longer be available after July 15, 2025. If you have any recordings you would like to keep, please download them now—before the tool is removed.
All recordings will be temporarily archived after deactivation; however, this archive is not a replacement for downloading your content now. If you need help retrieving a recording in the future, you may submit a support request.
Accessing Collaborate Recordings
To download files, you must enter the course where the original recording was created.
- Log in to Blackboard and go to the course that hosted the Collaborate session.
- In the left course menu, click on Tools.
- Select Class Collaborate Ultra
- Click the menu icon (three lines) in the upper-left corner of the Collaborate panel.
- Select Recordings.
Downloading the Recording
- Locate the recording you want to download. (You may need to use Filter by | Recordings in a Range)
- Click the Recording Options menu (three dots to the right of the recording).
- Choose Download.
NOTE: If you don’t see the option to download, the session host may not have enabled downloads when the session was created. See below.
Download Access
To allow students or participants to download a Blackboard Collaborate Ultra recording, instructors must enable the download option in the session settings before or after the session.
Note: If downloads are not enabled, you will not see the download option. Instructors can change this setting after the session, and the download will become available to anyone with access to the recording.
