Brief Outages of Wi-Fi and Internet at All Campuses and Locations and Websites, Apps, Services hosted in the Data Center Accessed From Outside of George Mason

Impact of the change on users:

The following will be unavailable for a couple of minutes at the beginning of the maintenance period (7:00 – 7:30 a.m.) while the connection switches from the primary internet service provider (ISP) to the secondary ISP:

  • Wi-Fi at all campuses and locations
  • Internet access in Academic and Administrative Buildings
  • Websites, Apps, and Services hosted in the Data Center accessed from outside of George Mason campuses and locations
  • Virtual Private Network (VPN) accessed from outside of George Mason campuses and locations. VPN sessions that are accessed outside of campuses or locations may drop.

ITS is doing a code upgrade on the routers. (ID # 612157)
