How to Restore Files and Folders on the Patriot Drive

You can restore deleted or accidentally modified files and folders on the Patriot Drive using the Windows Previous Versions feature.

Step 1

If not on campus, connect to the VPN using the Cisco Secure Client.

Step 2

From Windows File Explorer, navigate to a Patriot Drive folder that contains the file or folder you want to restore.

Step 3

Right click on the folder > click Properties.

Step 4

Click the Previous Versions tab > select the version you want to restore > click Open.

If you don’t see the version you want to restore, create an ITS ticket via Patriot Drive. ITS may be able to restore an older version.

Step 5

A new File Explorer window opens showing a snapshot of the folder. You may copy and paste the file or folder you want to restore to a desired location on the Patriot Drive.
