NEW: Metadata Dossier

May 2021

The Business Intelligence Services team has created a dashboard that will help users identify all available data elements in the Administrative project. Data elements are grouped by type, either attributes (descriptive data) or metrics (measures). Users will be able to browse and search for metrics and attributes by name and category. Furthermore, users will be able to see the descriptions of the metrics and attributes. The Long Description will provide additional information about the attributes and metrics in the Administrative project. This dashboard was designed to help MicroStrategy users better understand the attributes and metrics used in their reports. The BIS team continues to work with subject matter experts from across the University to complete and improve this resource.

NEW: Forecast Dashboard FY2021

May 2021

This dashboard serves as a tool for analysis at both the University and Unit level for actual, budgeted, and forecasted revenue and expense metrics. This dashboard provides the metrics for the Fiscal Year 2021 and the three prior Fiscal Years.

NEW: Census—All Fields with Future Jobs

May 2021

This report shows a list of George Mason employees in your organization. This report is similar to the Census—All Fields report but it includes employees who not yet started employment but who have already been entered in Banner.

Availability

This report is available to all users with MicroStrategy Administrative Project access. The report results are subject to the user’s fund/org security permissions. This means that users will only see results for the fund/org they have been granted permission to.

NEW: Current Affiliate List

May 2021

This Current Affiliate List report shows a list of personnel who need access to Mason's computer systems but who are not Mason employees. The report contains start and end dates and grouped by the home organization.

Attributes & Metrics

ENHANCEMENTS

May 2021

Attributes related to HR data were modified to enhance user experience. Some of the attribute names were changed to specify that they are Employee attributes. Other attributes renamed to better identify the attribute. The renamed attribute descriptions were not modified. For the definitions of the below attributes please visit the Metadata Reference Dossier in the MicroStrategy Administrative Project.
