Fund and Account History Reports
February 26, 2025Shared reports in the Patriot Reporting project display the current information about all chart elements (i.e., FOAPAL ), including the chart element description, Cardinal mapping, etc. You see the current information for the chart element no matter what date you enter on the Finance report prompts or on filter panels. The name/description for a fund or account is always the most recent one. This approach was chosen to provide consistent definitions of chart elements across reports and time periods.
Now, there is a way to see how information about the Fund and Account elements have changed over time. If you want to see the history of funds and/or accounts, you can use these new reports in Patriot Reporting > Shared Reports > Chart of Accounts > Chart of Account Historical Reports to do so.
The Account History report will only show changes to names/descriptions over time. The Fund History report will show not only the dates of past names/descriptions, but also the default organization, default program, and bank code.
