Troubleshooting MicroStrategy Login Issues: Initial Steps

Troubleshooting MicroStrategy HTTP Status 400 Error

If you enter your Mason credentials and receive the above browser error with a message/description of Request header is too large, please follow the instructions to clear your browser cache.  Make sure you close all browser windows and log into MicroStrategy again.

For other issues with logging in to MicroStrategy, please try the following steps:

Checking VPN

If you are not on the Mason campus, you must be logged into the VPN before logging into MicroStrategy.

Using Mason NetID

When logging in, use your George Mason NetID without the “@gmu.edu” in the User name field and your Patriot Pass Password in the Password field.

Selecting LDAP

Ensure that the LDAP radio button is selected underneath your username and password.

Clearing Browser Cache

Always make sure to clear your browser cache.

Verifying Access After Job Change

If you have changed jobs recently, please contact your Departmental Banner Liaison or Banner Security Officer (BSO) to check on the status of your MicroStrategy access.

Please submit a TDX ticket if your login issues persist after trying the steps above.
