macOS Upgrade for Mason-Managed Computers Running macOS 13

Impact of the change on users:

Starting April 15, Users running macOS 13 will receive the following pop-up message:

This Mason-Managed Mac is running macOS 13 and needs to be upgraded.

To upgrade by yourself go to  > System Preferences > Software Update.

You can defer to a later time using the dropdown menu. Please save anything you are working on!

IMPORTANT: This upgrade will require a restart.

Reason for the change:

Support for macOS 13 ends in the fall. (ID # 584658)

Wi-Fi & Wired Network Outage at All Campuses & Locations

Impact of the change on users:

The Wi-Fi and wired networks at all campuses and locations will be briefly unavailable during the maintenance period.

Reason for the change:

ITS is making a vendor-recommended command change. (ID # 583462)

Patriot Virtual Computing (PVCL) & Labs Maintenance

Impact of the change on users:

Patriot Virtual Computing & Labs (PCVL) will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

Reason for the change:

ITS will perform standard maintenance on Patriot Virtual Computing and Labs (PVCL). (ID # 578659)

ITS Support: Phone Support Unavailable

Impact of the change on users:

ITS Support: Phone Support will be unavailable during the maintenance period. Ticketing and Live Chat will remain available.

Reason for the change:

The vendor is doing maintenance. (ID # 583122)

Police & Safety Building Network Maintenance

Impact of the change on users:

The wired and Wi-Fi networks may be intermittently unavailable in the Police & Safety Building network during maintenance.

Reason for the change:

ITS is cutting over to a new router. (ID # 581037)
