ITS supports a variety of public domain and site-licensed software for the George Mason community. Individual departments purchase and administer the distribution of other licenses. ITS provides the following:
- Assist with software configuration
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and laws
- Realize potential cost savings
- Facilitate and expedite the procurement process with existing vendors

George Mason-Managed Computer Software Loads
George Mason-managed computers are pre-loaded with software and can load additional software from their respective self-services.
Mason Self-Service (Mac)
Mason Self-Service is installed on George Mason-owned Macs enrolled in Jamf Pro; it allows users to download approved software on demand.
Software Center (Windows)
Software Center is a Windows application on managed, George Mason-owned computers. Software Center allows users to download approved software on demand. If you would like to use Software Center on your Windows computer, go to the Desktop Support page to enroll.
