Dr. Charmaine Madison serves as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer, overseeing George Mason University’s central Information Technology Services (ITS) department. ITS is responsible for the university’s technology infrastructure; telephony, wired and wireless networks and core systems, such as Blackboard (and Canvas), Salesforce, and the Ellucian Banner suite. ITS is also responsible for the enforcement of the university’s IT Security, Risk & Compliance, and IT Project Governance in compliance with Mason’s tier 3 autonomy.
