Impact of the change on users:

If you are connected to VPN when the update runs, your connection will be disconnected, and you will need to reconnect.

IMPORTANT:

ITS requires all George Mason–owned Apple devices—and any Apple devices purchased from non-approved vendors—to be enrolled.

Reason for the change:

ITS is updating the secure connectivity software to keep systems current, improve reliability, and ensure compatibility with upcoming macOS updates. The update also includes improvements to networking behavior and device management to reduce potential connection issues.

Huron Application Email Delivery Maintenance (Mail Relay Change)

Impact of the change on users:

Users may experience issues receiving email notifications from Huron applications during the change window if organizational email security settings are not updated. This could include delayed or missing messages from:

  • Huron applications (including HRS and ECC system notifications)
  • Automated emails generated from Huron services

Reason for the change:

Huron is migrating its email delivery system to a new platform to improve reliability and allow future updates without requiring repeated configuration changes.

TeamDynamix Maintenance

Impact of the change on users:

During this maintenance window, users may experience intermittent, slower-than-normal performance when using TeamDynamix (TDX) for ticketing. Automation processes within TDX may also run more slowly, which could delay updates to tickets or workflows.

Reason for the change:

The vendor is performing a scheduled upgrade to the integration platform as a service (iPaaS) that supports TeamDynamix.
