Impact of the change on users:

Patriot Web Self Service, INB, Banner 9 Admin, and other Banner-related applications including DataMart and De-centralized systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

Reason for change:

ITS is upgrading the financial aid and AR applications to Banner 9 in order to be in compliance with Pell Grant regulations and 1099 processing requirements. (ID # 168282)

Impact of change on users:

The wired and wireless networks in Robinson B will be intermittently unavailable during the maintenance period.

During the planned maintenance, the wired and wireless networks, as well as Mason phones will be intermittently unavailable. Prior to the planned maintenance, please save all work that is network-dependent (i.e., files synced to OneDrive or saved to the M: shared drive) and plan accordingly for phone calls if you are using Mason phones. Cell phone service will not be impacted.

Reason for change:

ITS is connecting floor switches to high-capacity routers to provide redundancy. (ID # 168278)

Impact of change on users:

The password.gmu.edu website will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

Reason for change:

ITS is updating the password.gmu.edu website to:

• Allow Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) when users try to retrieve password through claim codes or security questions.
• Allow users to enter a phone number on the Additional Information Page.
• Require users to review their Additional Information every 6 months.

Impact of the change on users:

The Cisco TelePresence content server and management suite will be intermittently unavailable during the maintenance period.

Reason for the change:

ITS is installing Microsoft December 2018 security patches. (ID # 171333)
