EXTENDED MAINTENANCE

Impact of change on users:

The wireless and wired networks in the following buildings will be unavailable while ITS updates the code on the switches: Freedom Center and Colgan hall. The Freedom Center will be done first beginning on September 8. Colgan Hall will be upgraded beginning on September 9.

During the planned maintenance, the wired and wireless networks, as well as Mason phones will be intermittently unavailable. Prior to the planned maintenance, please save all work that is network-dependent (i.e., files synced to OneDrive or saved to the M: shared drive) and plan accordingly for phone calls. Cell phone service will not be impacted.

Reason for change:

ITS is upgrading to new Cisco switches. (ID # 166591)

Impact of change on users:

ITS is updating the code onto switches to address a bug. (ID # 166515)

Impact of change on users:

DUO authentication for Central Authentication Service (CAS), Remote Desktop Gateway (RDG), Virtual Private Network (VPN), and multifactor enrollment sites will be unavailable while the DUO vendor performs maintenance.

Reason for change:

The DUO vendor is increasing capacity to enhance performance. (ID # 166549)

Impact of change on users:

Evisions will be unavailable during maintenance.

Reason for change:

ITS is upgrading Evisions. (ID# 167766)

Impact of change on users:

Canon Follow-Me-Print will be unavailable during maintenance.

Reason for change:

ITS is applying Microsoft security updates for October 2018. (ID # 168151)
