Impact of the change on users:

Little to no impact is expected for current users and devices. However, during the maintenance period, no new devices (mydevices.gmu.edu) can be added nor guest wireless accounts can be created. Network authentication and authorization services will not be impacted.

Reason for change:

ITS is applying Identity Services Engine (ISE) patches to resolve issues and improve performance. ISE simplifies the delivery of consistent, highly secure access control across wired and wireless multivendor networks and remote VPN connections. (ID # 174524)

ITS is applying Microsoft March 2019 Security Updates to servers. (ID # 174070)

The following services will be unavailable during the maintenance period:

• Add New25Live
• Docushare

Reason for the change:

ITS is applying the Microsoft March 2019 security updates to the servers. (ID # 174275)

Impact of the change on users:

The password.gmu.edu website will be briefly unavailable during the maintenance period.

Reason for the change:

ITS is updating the Patriot Pass Password website. (ID # 173628)

Impact of the change on users:

Analog phones, including fax lines, will be intermittently unavailable during the maintenance period.

Reason for the change:

ITS is upgrading switches. (ID # 173778)
