EXTENDED MAINTENANCE

Impact of the change on users:

Little to no impact is expected for current users and devices. However, during maintenance, there may be intermittent periods in which no new devices (mydevices.gmu.edu) can be added nor can guest wireless accounts be created. Network authentication and authorization services will not be impacted.

Reason for change:

ITS is upgrading and applying security patches to the Identity Services Engine (ISE) Policy Service Node (PSN) and Primary Administration Nodes (PAN) to address security issues. ISE simplifies the delivery of consistent, highly secure access control across wired and wireless networks and remote VPN connections. (ID # 166572 & 166587)

Impact of the change on users:

Little to no impact is expected for current users and devices. However, during the maintenance period, no new devices (mydevices.gmu.edu) can be added nor can guest wireless accounts be created. Network authentication and authorization services will not be impacted.

Reason for change:

ITS is reloading the Identity Services Engine (ISE) Primary Administration Node (PAN) to resolve issues. ISE simplifies the delivery of consistent, highly secure access control across wired and wireless networks and remote VPN connections. (ID #: 166568)

Impact of change on users:

rhn.gmu.edu will be unavailable during maintenance.

Reason for change:

ITS is applying patches and separating out filesystems for compliance. (ID #: 165769)

Impact of the change on users:

Patriot Web Self Service and Internet Native Banner (INB) will be unavailable during the maintenance period while ITS upgrades the following applications:

• Database upgrade
• BDM (Imaging)
• Employee Self Service (Patriot Web)

• Student & Student Self Service (Patriot Web)

**Please do not attempt to log in to Banner or Patriot Web during maintenance.**

Reason for change:

ITS is upgrading Banner applications. (ID#: 164746)

EXTENDED MAINTENANCE

Impact on users:

mason.gmu.edu, mason.gmu.edu, which hosts various applications, programming languages, and tools for registered students, faculty, staff, and authorized guests, will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

Reason for change:

ITS is applying patches to address security and feature fixes. (ID# 164708)
