Impact of the change on users:

Users at all George Mason campuses and locations may experience a brief internet service interruption of approximately five minutes during the maintenance window. New Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections will be unavailable during this period; however, existing VPN connections are expected to remain active. Services hosted in Azure are not expected to be affected.

Reason for the change:

ITS is performing planned network maintenance to return internet traffic to its standard operating configuration following the successful completion of the vendor’s scheduled maintenance and verification that services are operating normally.
