How to Determine if Defender ATP (Windows Security) is Operating on Your Mac

The Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection Shield in the menu bar indicates Defender (Windows Security) is operating on a Mac computer.

Step 1

Click the shield in the top menu and click Open Microsoft Defender ATP.

Step 2

The Microsoft Defender ATP application will open.
