Information Technology Services (ITS) will require students accessing the Student Virtual Private Network (VPN) to use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) beginning Monday, March 14. The change will occur between 11 and 11:30 p.m.

At that time, students who use the VPN will be required to confirm their identity using Duo 2FA at login. Students already use Duo 2FA to confirm their identity to access Office 365 accounts.

The Student VPN is the final Mason VPN to require 2FA, bringing it up to the standard required for other Mason VPNs.

To prepare for the change, ensure you are enrolled in Duo 2FA and review the instructions on using 2FA with the VPN.
