ITS 2023 Poster Contest - Closed

In observance of Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CAM) this year, ITS is hosting a poster contest for all Mason students. The contest window for participation is Tuesday, September 5 to Sunday, October 8. 

ITS is seeking a full-color poster that illustrates a cybersecurity phrase to promote awareness around cyber safety in our community. We’re looking for eye-catching designs, so don’t be afraid to be bold and dynamic!  

The contest winner will receive a basket full of prizes from ITS worth over $100!

Rules and Guidelines 

Below are the rules and guidelines for the contest.  

The design must include: 

  • One of the phrases listed from Global Knowledge  
  • The website: its.gmu.edu 
  • All submissions must be original work 
  • Participants are not allowed to collaborate with partners 
  • Only one submission per student is allowed 
  • Only digital submissions in the form of a PDF will be accepted 
  • Files must be 100 MB or less 
  • Artwork can be vertical or horizontal, but must have printing dimensions of 11x17 or 18x24 
  • You must be a Mason student to participate 

Note: Upon selection, the winning entry will become the property of ITS and may be used for any purpose the organization deems necessary. ITS reserves the right to alter the final poster design or to reject all submissions. The winner may also be asked to make changes to the design. 

Submission 

The deadline for submission is Sunday, October 8, at 11:59 p.m. To submit your artwork to ITS, see the Poster Contest MS Form.  

The winner of the contest will be contacted by ITS during the second week of October.  

The contest judges will pick a winner based on effort, craftsmanship/creativity, technical accuracy, overall appearance, and school spirit. The winning design will be: 

  • Hung in the JC for the rest of October 2023 
  • Hung outside the ITSO office in Aquia for a year 
  • Shared on ITS channels  
  • Promoted at 2023 ITS CAM events and other future ITS events
