Network Outage – Smithsonian Campus – Volgenau Academic Center – B Wing

Network service has been restored for the Academic Building (B Wing).

The outage was caused by a power surge that resulted in a switch losing its configuration. Service has been restored and network operations have returned to normal.

The Smithsonian classroom and lab networks in the B wing of Volgenau Academic Center are currently down; however, the staff network remains unaffected. Engineers have been dispatched to the site and are actively investigating the issue.
