Rolling Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Outages in Select Buildings

Impact of the change on users:

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones will be intermittently unavailable in the following buildings:

  • Institute for Advanced Biomedical Research and Van Metre Hall starting at 11:50 p.m.
  • Potomac Science Center & Liberty Square starting at 12:10 a.m.
  • Data Center and Police & Safety Headquarters starting at 12:30 a.m.

Cell phone service will not be impacted.

Reason for the change:

ITS is upgrading the code on switches. (ID # 270535)
