Impact of the change on users:
Users at all George Mason campuses and locations may experience a brief internet service interruption of approximately ten minutes during the maintenance window. New Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections will be unavailable intermittent during this period; however, existing VPN connections are expected to remain active. Services hosted in Azure are not expected to be affected.
Reason for the change:
Information Technology Services (ITS) is performing planned network maintenance to improve service reliability, maintain a supported network environment, and ensure continued access to vendor security updates and protections.
