WiFi issues in some buildingsSeptember 16, 2022 7:20 a.m.
When students and faculty are trying to login to the following SSID’s Mason-Secure or Eduroam, they can not connect and have no internet connection.
East building classrooms 121 and 134 students and professor could not connect to the wifi using the following SSIDs: eduroam and mason-secure.
All users in listed buildings were affected, it was intermittent, but the majority could not get on the wifi.
The Aruba controller was not allowing everyone to connect to Eduroam and mason-secure.
Network Engineers tried to take actions to correct the issues. Network Engineers contacted vendor for support, controller was rebooted and services came back online.
We have commands now for the Aruba controller to use that we received from the Aruba Engineers, to use in the future. Also we have a case open with the vendor to see if there any bugs or why it happened.
