Malicious attack on the ASA or VPN Box, from outside sources. This caused a service issues on the VPN gateway.
Users were unable to connect to the VPN login.
Initial symptoms:
Users reported being unable to connect to the VPN.

ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
Cause:
Malicious remote attacks cause the VPN to crash.
Resolution:
As permanent solution per Cisco Support, we upgraded the VPN gateway to a newer version to be able to install threat detection services, that will block malicious IP’s from outside world. From initiating attacks
