Users were not able to connect to the internet via wired or wireless services.
Root Cause Analysis
Cause
The fiber link between the distribution switch the user switch failed.
Resolution
The vendor’s field team dispatched and cleaned the fiber and replaced the optical connectors. Light levels and error count monitored after resolution indicate problem was solved.
Prevention
Monitoring connection by vendor continues.
