Initial Symptoms
Network Operations monitoring tool reported that hardware at location was unreachable.
Root Cause Analysis
Cause
The first part of the outage lasted until 2pm was caused by our ISP.
The second part only impacted one of Mason switches, caused by a corrupted config file as a result of power outage.
Resolution
Both the vendor and Network & Security Operations had staff on site to address the issues.
Prevention
For second part of outage: have the latest backup file on-hand and engineers on-site for deployment
