Network engineers checked the class schedules for the second floor and determined there were no classes scheduled. No end users were affected.

The wired and wireless networks were unavailable during the outage.
ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
Cause: 

The switch lost connectivity from our monitoring system and NET couldn’t reach it remotely.

Resolution: 

To resolve the issue, the switch required a hard reset. Following the reboot, the switch resumed normal function and network services were restored.
