ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
Cause: 

Transient external event in dark fiber network caused optical power on link from SciTech to Equinix Co-location facility to temporarily drop below receive threshold.

Resolution: 

Transient external event in dark fiber network caused optical power on link from SciTech to Equinix Co-location facility to temporarily drop below receive threshold.

Prevention: 

ITS Engineering staff is working with network operator to isolate and correct issues causing loss in the optical pathway.
