ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
Cause:

A line card in the Data Center Perimeter Edge router had a failure.

Resolution:

Line card was reset, services were restored.

Prevention:

Engineers will be monitoring and working with Cisco support, on why the PE router 1 had a line card issue?  Also we are in the process of dual fiber connection in those buildings that were affected. Once we run the 2nd fiber connection to those buildings, these type of outages will not be felt by the Mason Community. We will have redundancy to all buildings on Campus.
