Initial Symptoms
MyHub admin noticed errors in the Request Report for AvePoint’s Cloud Governance tool, MyHub earlier in the morning. The first ticket into the ITS Support Center confirmed an issue existed.
Root Cause Analysis
Cause
From the vendor: A recent change, intended to provide optimizations to the guest access experience, introduced a regression in the code. This caused the component responsible for supplying the operation ID to view the status of create teams operations to never generate, resulting in impact.
Resolution
From the vendor: We’ve completed reverting the affecting change and confirmed with a subset of users that impact was remediated successfully.
Prevention
From the vendor: We’re reviewing our change testing and validation procedures to identify how this impact was missed to better prevent similar future occurrences.
