Root Cause Analysis
Cause
As a part of a data cleanup effort with a vendor, an alert was inadvertently triggered that sent an email to Mason Microsoft 365 users. The emails were a result of a misconfiguration.
Resolution
The job was edited to cease emails.
Prevention
ITS engineers will leverage multiple layers of review for each setting, preventing future accidental emails.
