Root Cause Analysis
Cause
Several share administrators started to make large numbers of changes in share memberships, which stressed out a caching service and led to slow performance for M: drive.
Resolution
The caching service was restarted. Our engineer started to reach out to share administrators present on the system to coordinate change execution time.
Prevention
Before this event, we have already put in a monitor, tuning logging and caching levels to reduce system load.
