Videos using Kaltura in Blackboard courses were unavailable at times from on March 26. Students could not submit video to Kaltura/Blackboard from March 26.
Initial symptoms:
Users could not post or watch MyMedia videos on Blackboard.

Impact to Mason:
Users could not view videos in Blackboard that were uploaded/created through Kaltura. Users could not access their MyMedia.

ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
Cause:
High demand caused the maximum number of allowed connections to be continually reached.
Resolution:
Kaltura has temporarily enabled a new caching solution.
Prevention:
Kaltura will fully move to cloud hosting within the next few weeks which is expected to prevent the issue from re-occurring.
