From approximately 1:30 – 5:00 pm ET on August 31, Canvas pages loaded slowly or were temporarily inaccessible. Instructure, the maker of Canvas, reports the issue is now resolved.

Some users are seeing pages loading slowly in Canvas or are receiving a “website is under heavy load (request timed out)” message. Instructure, the maker of Canvas, is aware of the issue and is working to fix as soon as possible.
