EXTENDED MAINTENANCE

Impact of the change on users:

IPAM DNS BIND services are being upgraded. Only one DNS server is upgraded at any given time. Each server upgrade could last from less than a minute (caching servers) to several minutes (primary and secondary servers). Production DNS servers will be upgraded at night, early morning, or on the weekend to minimize any possible impact.

* Properly configured DNS clients with multiple DNS servers defined should continue to operate normally. 

Reason for the change:

ITS is applying security updates to DNS servers. (# 261098)
