Impact of the change on users:

Citrix Virtual Lab and Patriot Virtual Computing will be fully decommissioned on Thursday, December 19, and replaced by Patriot Virtual Computing and Labs (PVCL).

Patriot Virtual Computing & Labs (PVCL) consolidates George Mason’s virtual desktop environments into a new single service powered by Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop. Through an innovative and enhanced platform, PVCL will provide George Mason faculty, staff, and students with secure, remote access to academic applications and university services.

Reason for the change:

ITS is retiring Citrix Virtual Lab and Patriot Virtual Computing. (ID # 549519)
