EXTENDED MAINTENANCE
Impact of the change on users:
During this maintenance window:
- Banner applications will be unavailable
- Patriot Web will be unavailable
- Password Change site will be unavailable (password.gmu.edu)
- Touchnet (production connection to Banner) will not work
- Reporting (RPRT database / MicroStrategy reports) will not be accessible
- Integrations, APIs, and Ellucian workflows will not function
- Service accounts and system-to-system connections will not work
- OIEP integration with the reporting database will not function
- Jobsub, Appworx, and Clean Address will be unavailable temporarily and restored early for testing
Some Banner-related applications may return earlier than 12:30 p.m. for testing, but intermittent availability may occur until all systems are fully restored.
Reason for the change:
ITS (Information Technology Services) is moving systems into Microsoft Azure to improve reliability, scalability, and overall performance.
