Mason faculty and staff can request installation of software on university-owned equipment through the ITS Support Center. All software license agreements must be adhered to for installation.
If a user requests installation of unsupported software or a program that is not part of Mason's software library, they must provide both the software media (CD, DVD, etc.) and the license key (CD Key, product activation code, etc.) to the technician prior to installation.
Getting This Service
To request software installation, complete the Request for Software Installation form or contact the ITS Support Center.
IMPORTANT: All Adobe software requests must be made by selecting the Request Adobe Creative Cloud button. See Software Listing: Adobe Creative Cloud for more information.
Desktop Support technicians will contact the customer to schedule the install during regular business hours.
All users of the George Mason University network must adhere to University Policy Number 1301: Responsible Use of Computing.
A small fee may be incurred for installations and upgrades due to damage. When charges are required, approval must be made prior to work being performed. See Technology Support Services' Charge Back Policy for details.
